HACE’s El Futuro (The Future) High School Leadership Program is a college and career development program for high school students. The program provides robust programming that helps students define career goals and develop postsecondary plans. To prepare students for success in their college, career, and/or civic lives, HACE partners with various organizations and companies.

 

PARTICIPANT PROFILE 

Designed for Hispanic and Latino/a/x/e high school students nationwide (high school juniors and seniors)

 

PROGRAM BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS 

  • $250 stipend awarded upon successful completion of the program
  • Connect with high-caliber professionals representing HACE's corporate partners and HACE alumni
  • Access to resource library with tools for college and career readiness 
  • Improve interviewing and networking skills 
  • Build professional employment networks 

PROGRAM GOALS

  • Increase student’s knowledge about types of financial aid available
  • Help students to create a post-secondary education plan
  • Prepare students for gainful employment
  • Prepare diverse students for leadership roles

PROGRAM DATES & SESSIONS

Participants will attend sessions focused on preparing them to attend college and/or join the workforce.

*All sessions will be on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 PM CST via Microsoft Teams.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES  

El Futuro is meant to help them achieve better college entrance and completion rates by improving their prospects for fulfilling careers. HACE's partners also serve as guest speakers who provide college and career advice. Together, HACE and HACE's partners guide students in reaching postsecondary success. Below are some partnership opportunities for this program:

  • Engage volunteers from your organization to deliver content in our schools
  • Develop relationships with teachers and interface with students
  • Branding recognition included in all promotion and PR as a supporter of a classroom
  • Guest speaking opportunities in all sessions
