This week on Cafecito con HACE, we sat with Leisl Downey, Vice President for the Institutional Advancement at Northeastern Illinois University and Executive Director at NEIU Foundation.
Leisl is proud to represent a university (NEIU) that is the first-ever Hispanic-serving institution for Illinois and is the most diverse university in the Midwest region. She has directly impacted the lives of first-generation Hispanic/Latinx college students, harnessing them with the resources and support necessary to reach their goals and to best position themselves for the workforce. She has been a great partner for our Dr. Ervin Vinny Caraballo Scholarship in the past few years.
